Friday Favourites

Happy Friday, design lovers! Terracottas, soft pinks, and deep greens have us excited this week! Kickstart your weekend by reading about these gorgeous pieces.

Shaelynn is inspired by “Flow” Giclée Print from Kit Agar. The solid colour of terra cotta provides a simple canvas for the white line in the shape of a face. The lines flow in a sense that make this art piece elegant and desirable in a home. Other prints in this collection appear to have a female concept with natural and nude colours. Abstract prints, like this, are a common way to spice up the walls without committing to a definite scene.

Aly came across this minimalistic Wood Tombstone Chair from Fort Standard. This chair is made of three intersecting panes resembling a tombstone. Wood options for this occasional chair are walnut, white oak and ash. What makes this particular model unique, is the custom white painting done by Ty Williams. His mixed media and prints are focused on the sea and the coastline and are portrayed in a whimsical way.

Leina is swooning over this premium velvet upholstered chair. The Alivia Accent chair from Novogratz shows off its comfort through the plush cushions and modern design through the angled metal frame. The overall chair design is vintage inspired, perfect for any living room, bedroom or office. This chair is also available in blue and grey for a pop of colour or a subtle neutral.

Katie is taken by surprise with the decorative edges of this oversized mirror from One Kings Lane. The Edged 45” x 58” Deco Mirror in brilliant gold adds an element of curiosity with the bold frame. A mirror this size is suitable for hanging or leaning against a wall. Either method will bring your attention to the geometric profile surrounding its reflection. This mirror is the perfect addition to a modern home looking for extra glam.

Alison is light-struck by the very classy, Trilogy Wall Sconce from Articolo Lighting. The mouth-blown glass orbs in “drunken emerald” are the star of the show for this light fixture. The vertical brass stems not only hold the lamps together, but they are emphasized to be part of the fixture, contrasting with the sharp colour. This sconce embraces sophisticated engineering, while diffusing a chic glow.
