Friday Favourites

Happy Friday, design lovers!

Shaelynn loves the adventurous prints by Natalie Jade. Her prints usually include imagery of the sun, rainbows and palm trees with analogous colours and splashes of pink. This one, called Wild and Free, shows a rainbow below a sun. There is no perfect symmetry in this piece which makes it look organic and natural. This print is so simple in its message and leaves a positive mark in a space.

Leina is inspired by the Jin Ye Side Table #1 from Studio MVW. The use of irregular shapes in a Patagonian quartzite and brass-finished material elevates the standard look of a side table. The brass is reflective, showing off angles that aren’t seen from the outside, and it complements the natural stone look. This is the perfect addition to add some glam to a dull space. This side table is one of the many tables that are also available.

Aly is captivated by the gorgeous Alice Wide Chandelier from Hollace Cluny. This light fixture is designed by Atelier de Troupe who is based in Los Angeles. The inspiration for modular architecture is shown through the angular lines that are parallel to each other, outlining each lamp. Each lamp is diffused through hand-blown glass cubes, which are then sandblasted. To bring the piece together, the frame is made of solid brass to complement the soft glow.

Katie was on the search for unique items when she found this magazine holder from Menu. This underestimated accessory can help make a space look sleek and modern. This is done through the blackened brass finish and Marquina marble. As put by Menu, this magazine holder has a “monumental, architectural feel.” Plus, this gives you a reason to show off those magazines you’ve been hoarding and make the space feel more inviting.

Alison is swooning over the Zien Bed in mustard velvet from Lulu and Georgia. Who doesn’t love a pop of colour? This would look great with layered pillows and bedding. The vibrant velvet makes the bed look luxurious and rich. The rounded edges and low design is inspired by the 60s and brings out some retro elements.
