We transformed this 1980s kitchen with a main floor renovation that brought a modern, fresh look. The client’s inspiration was a specific Instagram palette we had posted, creating a perfect collaboration.

The renovation began with updating the entry tile, removing the wall between it and the living room, and updating the railing. Walls in the kitchen were taken down to open it up to the living and dining areas.

The new kitchen features a functional design with a charming eat-in nook, updated appliances, and a statement green island. An unexpected yet successful change was tiling the floor when matching hardwood couldn’t be found. We updated all lighting and furniture but retained the existing fireplace with its warm wood and slate surround, as well as the client's vintage dining hutch, which fit beautifully in the space.
