RIDEAU

Our client brought us into this project mid renovation to help her with furniture selections but also help her pull the home together. She was downsizing from a larger home that she had for many years and wanted something that was going to be stylish space but one that still felt warm and inviting. She loved the natural light and views from this condo space on the top floor of a condo building in the gorgeous neighbourhood of Rideau in Calgary, AB.

The overall space had a very modern, streamlined look to it. We warmed it up with a gorgeous plaster treatment on the tray ceiling, this also added so much texture to the space. By changing the lighting and adding in finishes with more patina, it made the space a little less new. Custom furniture like the sofa, coffee table, and working with some gorgeous antique pieces that the client already owned helped us created a beautifully layered look with our signature mix of styles, patterns and textures. Carefully curated artwork also helped to bring the space together like the Murray Duncan pieces in the living room and the Jessalyn Brooks drawing in the dining space.

We designed the custom built-in bed in the principal because the space was a little tight and this allowed for us to have a larger bed. The curved design details, upholstered headboard, and the warm, light oak work seamlessly with the plaster finished walls, wall to wall drapery to make this space a haven for our client. The bathroom was outfitted with a custom sauna and is s space for our client to relax and retreat.
