Friday Favourites

Happy Friday, design lovers! Curves. This week’s batch of #FridayFaves showcase all the curves. Fluid and soft lines are where our minds are at when it comes to sourcing pieces for our clients.

Alison couldn’t ignore this stunning hardware from Sarah Sherman Samuel. The Mackinaw cabinet pull is a geometric touch, perfect for a cabinet or dresser update. Sarah joined her skills with Park Studio to create a modern option for many to enjoy. Each piece is milled out of solid brass, then brushed by hand, leaving it unlacquered. The Mackinaw is available in small, medium and large sizes to suit every need.

Shaelynn loves finding small treasures such as this Pepe Wall Marble Mirror from Casson. The combination of the black marble and brass finish is very sleek to make a space feel luxurious. A mirror could easily be overlooked, but with finishes that contrast, the Pepe Wall Marble Mirror acts as an accessory that stands out. A practical use in small spaces too!

Katie is intrigued by the new and improved design of these salt and pepper Bottle Grinders from Kit. Typically the grinding mechanism is on the bottom side, but these ones instead have the grinders at the top to avoid making a small pile that is left from setting it down. These are available in a variety of colours so your everyday spices can also be set in a form of table decor.

Aly is swooning over the Emil Dresser from Pinch Design. The simple use of materials make this a versatile piece of furniture. The use of European oak is used as the base material with black American walnut and a lacquer finish being used for a bold trim. The dresser features a curved top, open shelving and closed storage below. The great thing about this piece is that it is customizable. There is a fair variety of materials and finishes as alternatives, adjustable shelves and included are grommet for cable management.

Leina noticed the beauty of this Lotus Leaf Sculpture by the brand Apiwat Chitapanya. It is inspired by the fibres of the lotus leaf. To mimic this natural leaf, they cut and improve the line and shapes out of small stainless steel wire. They made sure to imitate the organic nature by using positive and negative space. The open spaces between the veining make this sculpture a light addition to a space. This technique is used in other art pieces by Apiwat Chitapanya.
